This platter doesn’t really fit in with a treenware page, but it is pretty and I didn’t have a better place to display it. It is obviously a maple leaf and is 11 1/2” long and just under 8” wide.
When I look closely at the carving I think it was done by hand, not machine. The marks on the back indicate it was made in the Soviet Union in 1959 by someone named B. Kishchan. I think the price is also shown, but Russian script is beyond my skills.
