This butter spreader is 9 1/2” long and just over 2” wide. In the pictures I increased the contrast in an effort to make the writing legible to someone who reads German. We bought it along with a 4 1/2” diameter butter mold, whose pictures we will be adding later.
I don’t know if the grooves were important in spreading the butter into a mold, or were added to decorate the top.
The German at the base of the spreader says “Das Allerfeinste mit dem Pfell”
